1/5/2022: Migration to Choralplayer started

Since quite a long time some choirs wanted the “Choralia mp3 player” to be made available for other users than Choralia. Furthermore, the fact that the software of the player is copyrighted, and it is licensed by the author through the displaying of the advertisements was not clear enough for users, as they were unable to distinguish the logical separation between Choralia (the producer of mp3 audio files for choir training) and the mp3 player (a software that is licensed by a third party).

On May 1st, 2020, the migration of the “Choralia mp3 player” to an independent name, Choralplayer, and to an independent domain, choralplayer.net, has started. This is going through several intermediate steps to ensure that Choralia’s users do not suffer from any service interruptions.

Choralplayer will be available for other users that can play their own mp3 files with it. This will also make much more clear that Choralia and Choralplayer are completely different services, based on completely different principles: access to Choralia is free, and a donation is required only if the training aids are actually used; access to Choralplayer requires that the software license fee is paid through the displaying of advertisements.

Stay tuned: details about the migration will be provided shortly, and new, useful functions will be introduced on Choralplayer.
